Time to do business

macro view of a clock mechanism representing the importance of time and running like clockwork in business

A drab and gusty August morning didn’t deter our enthusiastic members and guests (all 88 of them) from attending today’s TBN Bournemouth Business Club meeting after the success of the Summer Breakfast event at The Italian Villa we were back at our regular venue The Hallmark Hotel.

We at TBN know how valuable your time is, which is why we have our ever-punctual MC, Jay Rachet  www.jayrachetmc.com.  Jay consistently works behind the scenes supervising hospitality and is up front to make sure all TBN plans stay on target to ensure you return to your businesses bright and early and ahead of the game after some valuable networking. Jay kicked off the morning by ensuring breakfast service ran smoothly, before introducing and handing over to the appointed Table Ambassadors to guide the round-table presentations and listed our keynote speakers.

Ashley Rich from A Plan Insurance escaped from Table 2 (who were apparently trying to marry him off!), to speak to us about the changes made at the beginning of the year with motor insurance and the way personal injury claims are calculated and paid out. Due to recent government changes increasing the formula percentage calculation, he gave the example of LV who in the past would have paid out £3.1m now in line with the new guidelines that sum would be £8m – an increase of over 100%. Aaron recommended that we all checked our policies –  free advice on this and other insurance issues always available at A Plan.

What’s the difference between a forensic scientist and a communication coach? Not a lot according to Trisha Lewis! Apart from discovering that she hasn’t really got the constitution to retrain, what she loves is finding out stuff, ‘digging and delving’ and making connections, which is what she does as a communication coach. She also loves working one-to-one and has introduced two new courses – Cold Calling Training and Interview Preparation. She has a special offer for Graduates, School Leavers, and TBN members with a 10% discount for these courses.
