TBN Mid July – Sun, Sea, and Networking

It’s finally here! The sun is out, temperatures are rising, summer has arrived! Right now the kids are on holiday, tourists are flocking down the South Coast, seaside businesses are booming and the nation on a whole is looking forward to golden success in Rio. With the hot weather and the ever-present temptation to head down the beach for that cooling sea breeze, at this time of year networking should not be overlooked.

Warming Relations

Like most people, business owners will be eager to get out and about during the summer. As a result, we know that it is a perfect time for making valuable contacts in more personal social surroundings. Don’t miss out on networking opportunities and events because they don’t fit traditional perceptions. We urge you to get creative! Garden gatherings, BBQs, outdoor festivals, beach parties and other summertime events can be great places to rekindle business relationships and ease yourself into a relaxed networking environment. In the next few months try introducing yourself to new people at different types of events and focus on starting a light conversation worth continuing.

Seaside Success

In great news, our fantastic Bournemouth seaside destination has been selected to take part in a national drive to boost trading in British high streets. The Business in the Community’s Healthy High Streets programme will aim to increase footfall in our town by 10 per cent, reducing vacant properties by 20 percent and stimulate jobs growth over a three-year period. Reinvigorating the high street, this scheme will help to ensure that businesses in the area continue to thrive. Bringing new companies, as well as business and networking opportunities, we can continue to look ahead at a prosperous future.

Golden Glory

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio are just around the corner! Team GB is looking to build on their success with the largest medal tally at foreign games to date. Capturing our collective admiration, the impressive feats performed by our nation’s athletes will provide an ample source of conversation and the perfect ice-breaker for business networking. Success at the games never fails to boost morale, and businesses of all types can tune in on the 5th August for the opening ceremony in Brazil’s sun city.

What’s Next?

There will be a number of exciting TBN networking opportunities over the coming months. The next TBN Business Breakfast will be taking place in a few weeks’ time on the 4th August 2016. Always a very popular venue, it will be held at the Hallmark Hotel, Bournemouth between 7:00 am – 9:00 am.
