It’s mid-February and hard to argue that we are all tentatively searching for signs of better and warmer weather. Despite frosty mornings, the sun is noticeably rising earlier and setting later. The Boardroom Network knows that brighter times herald more energetic business activity as we shake off the seasonal lull. To encourage you in all your endeavours, there’s plenty of good news going around to get you up out of bed and into some all-important networking.
The first thing to mention is that Bournemouth and Poole’s digital economy is positively booming. Recent news has reported that the areas digital industries are now worth around £350 million, a great plus for the local economy. With a 70 per cent growth rate in the last four years, employing nearly 14,000 people, there are strong signs that business in Bournemouth is better than ever.
What we can take into account when analysing this success includes Bournemouth’s unique desirability when it comes to attracting business. Alongside the growth of the town’s graduate talent we have to look at networking as a key factor towards the growth of digital industries locally and a thriving business community. With boom sectors included telecommunications, data management and analytics, app and software development and social networks, there are plenty of opportunities for business to benefit from working together.
At The Boardroom Network we have been doing our part to bring as many business people as possible together, to form those all-important connections, that will keep our area at the forefront of the UK’s growing and emerging industries.
We will be returning to the sophisticated Hallmark Hotel for our next Networking Breakfast on the 3rd of March, register now at: www.theboardroomnetwork.com/upcoming-meetings.
