TBN June – Buoyant Businesses & Networking Hats on (figuratively speaking)

It’s June, the sun is now shining (most of the time) and the summer is well and truly here. Whilst the sun had its hat on for a gloriously sunny 7am start – it also appeared that the businesses of Bournemouth had their networking hats on;  88 people were in attendance at this month’s networking event! There was a palpable buzz in the room as business cards were exchanged and new introductions made, with people energised and ready to do some serious networking.

As always, proceedings were kicked off by our enigmatic resident host, Jay Rachett, who lead the attendees  to their tables and welcomed our members and visitors.

With the first round table sessions under way, everyone had a chance to deliver their “elevator pitches” with table talk then turning to the current business issues of Bournemouth. It was great to hear the positive attitudes and optimism of everyone at the event, as all seemed to agree with how buoyant the local market place currently is. It certainly seems that business is booming in Bournemouth!

Once time was called on the first round table session, it was time for Alex Clapcott, one of our resident Strategic Marketing Consultants,  to take to the floor. Alex provided the room with an extremely insightful talk on the many benefits of strategic marketing. This included a particular focus on the importance of business planning in order to make the most of your marketing opportunities.

Following on from the second table swap, Kevin Sheldrake who is an Associate with The Boardroom Peer Groups  was introduced as our next  “two minute warmer”.  Kevin acknowledged it was the first anniversary of his association with Ian Siddall  and took the opportunity to give us all an insight of life with Ian as a business partner he also promoted the launch of his new Marketer’s Boards  with Taster sessions due to begin soon .

As another Boardroom Network event drew to a close, Jay was proud to announce that there were a phenomenal twenty nine visitors in attendance and awarded the customary prize champagne to husband and wife team Bernie & Denise Ward. Whilst the new members  were also welcomed and thanked, there was also a big reminder about next month’s Boardroom Network event which will be taking place at the beautiful Italian Villa.

This marks the return of the Boardroom Network to the Italian Villa after the soaring success of last year’s July Summer BBQ event which also took place at this stunning venue. We look forward to seeing all of our Members and Visitors are welcome to come and join us at the event for a delicious barbeque breakfast. We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed for the same scorching weather we had last year (it was 15 degrees at 0700hrs!) – so make sure to bring your sun cream and shades!

See you all at the Italian Villa on the 2nd of July!
