With lots to talk about we certainly felt an abundant sense of enthusiasm from members at our latest TBN event. With so many positive things going on right now, we are pleased to say that June looks set to become a standout month for new business opportunities and networking.
At our last meeting, team member Dave Blunkett unveiled some big news. He was pleased to launch TBN Advantage, a new initiative offering huge benefits to all our members. Accessed via our website it’s a place where you can make savings on a whole stack of essential business processes.
Dave spoke about the new opportunities we are providing for growth and learning. Through TBN Advantage you have access to opportunities to make savings from everyday business operations, realise tangible finance benefits, make the most out of the latest marketing opportunities and discover personal perks for you and your staff. Already proving worthwhile, TBN Advantage helped to save a restaurant over £8,000 through a new card processing system.
We also heard from Sophie Personne, who gives advice to people suffering from relationship issues. Sophie has recently published a book entitled ‘Your Other Half’ a guide to better relationships with others which will soon be launched at Waterstones in West Quay.
We encourage you to sign up, show your support and attend this event.

Taking place later this month, Becky Craig from Blu Lake and Sue Benoke from the Smarter Business Consultancy spoke about their training for the Business Come Dancing Summer Ball 2017. Both members have accepted the challenge of raising money for Parkinson’s Dance and Lewis-Manning Hospice. Sue will be performing a 1940’s Social Dance whilst Becky will be doing a Street Dance in her finest retro 90’s gear (we’re expecting a bucket hat & track suit, Becky!) on Friday 23 June.
You can donate and help them reach their targets by visiting their fundraising pages.
We also heard from Sally Mackness who spoke about exhibiting at the recent RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Out of hundreds of artists who applied, only Sally’s artworks were exhibited. During the week of the show, she met several members of the Royal Family having a 10-minute conversation with Princess Alexandra! And was interviewed for Radio 2 by Chris Evans. Sally has now sold several of her paintings across Europe and Australia.
Lastly, Jake Moore Dorset Police’s Cyber-Crime Prevention Officer spoke about Cyber Security and the importance of protecting your business from the dangers posed by online criminals. He wants members to ensure they are not making themselves vulnerable online and explained some common tricks that cyber-criminals use.
Our next event will take place on 6th July 2017. The TBN Bournemouth Business Club will be gathering at the gorgeous Italian Villa for our highly-anticipated Summer BBQ 2017 between 7:00 am – 9:00 am.
