On Thursday the 4th of February members of The Boardroom Network had the opportunity to return to the handsome Hallmark Hotel in Bournemouth for a morning of friendly conversation and business networking. The day’s theme was a vibrant start to 2016, building new opportunities and welcoming new members.
Gathering in the early hours of the morning for the second meeting of the year, members shared tea and coffee in the stately Hallmark function room. Mingling amongst each other, members were able to make new acquaintances and greet familiar faces before being ushered to their seats for a hearty & healthy Hallmark breakfast.
Light-hearted discussions and introductions followed with everyone getting the chance to share their business. Kevin Sheldrake was first to speak at the event with a Valentine’s Day themed, ‘Is it me you’re looking for’ Lionel Ritchie pitch for his consulting, coaching, and mentoring business services.
This was followed by short pitches made around each of the tables, giving members the chance to introduce themselves, share the latest news and all their recent successes. Of particular note was the up and coming nature of the Bournemouth business scene and how, despite uncertain times, business continues to thrive.
Using pre-arranged cards to mix up the room, people were then encouraged to switch tables providing members with an opportunity to once again meet others and share their businesses. TBN were delighted to welcome a huge number of new members throughout the morning. We were happy to provide a friendly first step into the world of business networking. Speaking for the first time, Denise Ward of DW Accountancy spread the word on what she can do to help members.
Frank Marsh of Positive Business Services, concluded the morning with the announcement that we will be launching our new TBN branch in Hampshire! Come April 2016, the luxurious Solent Hotel & Spa (jct 9 M27) will be ready to host us for future meetings. We hope this will open up a vast array of new opportunities for businesses to connect and grow.
We look forward to seeing some of our veteran members return whilst welcoming plenty of first time business men and women from across Hampshire. We hope to continue connecting and creating better prospects for business across the region.
However, TBN Bournemouth will still remain as strong as ever and following February’s success – with over 80 in attendance, including 20 visitors – we will continue to grow and strive to offer the best networking and business opportunities. The future is bright for TBN!
We look forward to seeing our members again on Thursday 3rd of March for TBN Bournemouth back at the Hallmark Hotel. Until then make sure to use those contacts and keep networking!
